Report

Well in a game that could decide 2nd spot with Hedingham taking on Torquespeed in an away game for the Team from Tiptree.
Straight away Torquespeed were in control and passing the ball around well, they created several chances through Daniel Prior up front with midfielders Matthew Benton Harri Kent and Mark Bennett linking up well, but on 7 minutes it was Daniel Prior who calmly slotted in the first of what was to become Torquespeeds biggest ever win. On 18 minutes Daniel scored again to make it 2-0 and on 25 mins Mark Bennett scored his first to make it 3-0. This came with Matthew Benton failing to convert a penalty smashing the ball hard against the bar.
The defence of Owen Cookson and Jake Godderidge were tight and in control but they still had to work hard a couple of times to stop Hedingham and on one occasion Reece Wimpress had to pull off a wonderful save to keep his clean sheet intact.
Second half underway and within 2 minutes gone The youth of Tiptree scored again to make it 4-0 with Daniel Prior scoring to round off his hat-trick. Mark Bennett not wanting to be out done scored twice in on the 5th and 6th minutes to round off his hat-trick.
Not sitting on the laurels Torquespeed pushed and again were rewarded with 2 goals again from Daniel Prior to make it 8-0.
A change now with Kalan Revell on for a cameo role was causing loads trouble down the right and with Reece Wimpress now playing as striker he was keen to get on the score sheet. Torquespeed were looking like scoring at every attempt now and after having 1 chance to score Reece Wimpress slotted the ball to the keepers right with a sweet left footed shot, the crowd and especially Stuart Wimpress(Dad) couldn't have been more pleased with this goal.
With time running out Matthew Benton was rewarded with a goal after pushing hard all game to get on the scoresheet and finished neatly from the left after the keeper being unable to stop the shot.
Final score was 10-0 to Torquespeed who thoroughly deserved the win after dominating the game for the 50 minutes.
A tremendous win, first time scoring 10 in a game and also for the goal keeper(Reece Wimpress getting on the score sheet).
Well done Mark, Matthew and Reece for scoring and well done boys for a great team performance.
Player of the match and a Captains performance Daniel Prior.
